MEXICO MISSION 2006

Instead of staying in a luxury hotel surrounded by pools and gardens, why not stay in a tent in a gravel pit?

Instead of looking at what others have built in the past,
why not be part of a group that builds a house which will secure the
future for others?

And give them a sturdy, dry place to call home.

Why not come to Tijuana, Mexico in January 2006, on a mission trip organised by Gordon Uniting Church? This will be the 3rd trip organised by Gordon and is open to all ages (but if you are under 16 you have to be accompanied by a parent or older sibling).

Enjoy yourself while helping to make a difference to people who have far less than you, work and worship in the local community and reflect on how Jesus speaks to you through this experience.

The house takes 5 days to build and the whole trip will last around 2 weeks (including travel time) with 9 days/10 nights spent in Mexico and the last 2 nights in LA.

This will be a holiday that will make a difference not only to those we go to serve but also to each participant.

The cost of the trip is not yet finalised but we hope that it should be no more than $3,500.00 per person - this includes airfares, all accommodation, transport and most meals.

Please let us know if you are interested in coming.
